Women’s Health Physiotherapy
Women’s Health Physiotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of all conditions affecting the pelvis and the pelvic floor in women. From pelvic girdle pain, abdominal separation to incontinence and prolapse there is evidence to support that physiotherapy can alleviate and, in many cases, resolve these symptoms.
Every woman’s body is unique, and therefore my approach is specifically client centered to ensure we work together to optimise outcomes by targeting treatment to achieve your personal goals, and functional requirements. I apply my experience in soft tissue and joint mobilisation, acupuncture and clinical Pilates, alongside creating a personal exercise programme to successfully treat women during their pregnancy and postnatal years.
Pregnancy Physiotherapy
During pregnancy, your body adapts very quickly to support your growing baby, and whilst many of these changes are manageable there are still symptoms that can affect your day-to-day life. I also offer a pregnancy check up to help prevent any symptoms, help you to exercise safely and prepare you for child birth. Specialist women’s health physio can offer support, and help you to feel empowered and ready for the next stage of your life, whilst feeling fit and healthy.
